The Northwest Community Church
Story

“Never place a period where God has put a comma” — Gracie Allen
Northwest Community Church was born from a faithful group of twelve Christ-centered worshipers that felt Las Vegas needed a progressive Faith-based church body that embraced ALL worshipers, regardless. They envisioned a church that provided a place for joyous worship, reflection, rejuvenation and rebirth, a safe place where all are hugged by Christ’s love and accepted for who God made them to be.
Now over 24 years later the vision has taken root and grown into a vibrant church community offering strength for the weak, food for the hungry, comfort for the hurting and family for the abandoned. Believers striving to move beyond the trite and empty cliche of love and service toward depths of love that build confidence and boldness seeking avenues of service that radically change our world.
”Still Speaking”
It’s the shorter form of “God is still speaking,” a campaign by the United Church of Christ to remind us that God still has a lot more to say. Since 2004, “Still Speaking” has worked with thousands of UCC churches and individuals across the country to make religion relevant again and to extend an extravagant welcome to all—because no matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you’re welcome here.
a united and uniting church
We are a people of covenant,
God invites us into a special relationship called “Covenant.” The bible speaks of God’s holy covenants with people, communities of faith, nation, and all of creation.
As God covenants with us, we covenant with one another. We covenant with many other Christian denominations and pray that all may be one (John 17:21). This prayer extends beyond the unity of all churches to the reconciliation of the whole world.
Everyone's welcome into a special relationship with God, especially you.
The Apostle Paul wrote, “There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28).
