Reverend Jamie Lee Sprague is a longtime transgender activist in Las Vegas, where she has lived since 1995. She has hosted the city’s Transgender Day of Remembrance since 2006 and founded Las Vegas TransPride, working to create safe and supportive spaces for the gender-diverse community. Jamie earned her Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary in 2017, becoming its first transgender graduate. She was ordained shortly after by the United Church of Christ, the first openly trans woman to be ordained in the denomination. She previously served as pastor of Affirming God’s People UCC and recently completed a Bachelor of Arts in Education at UNLV. She is now a second-year teacher
at Park Elementary School.
Reverend Mike Schuenemeyer is the founder and CEO of Expansive Dignity, LLC, following two decades of national leadership with the United Church of Christ (UCC) in Health and Wholeness Advocacy. A longtime HIV & AIDS advocate, he previously led the UCC HIV & AIDS Network and has been a key voice for LGBTQ+ justice and faith-based HIV response in the U.S. and globally. Mike is a pioneer in faith-based sexuality education and trains facilitators in the Our Whole Lives and Sexuality and Our Faith curricula. He has produced influential films such as Call Me Malcolm and helped launch interfaith collaborations like the Lavender Interfaith Collective and the Rainbow Pilgrims of Faith. He has organized numerous national and international interfaith events related to HIV, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and the UCC’s Open and Affirming movement. Mike lives in Henderson, NV, with his husband of more than 20 years. He is an ordained UCC minister, a musician and performer, and holds degrees from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and Eden Theological Seminary.
